I had a mixed experience during my stay at Palace Hotel Saigon. While the location was undeniably excellent with easy access to nearby attractions, the room quality did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel. The noise from Nguyen Hue Street was quite disruptive, especially at night, making it tough to relax. Despite friendly staff, the facilities felt outdated and in need of refurbishment. Overall, I can't say it was ideal, but I appreciated the central vibe. 🌆😕

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious, but overall it felt outdated and lacked proper maintenance. The shower had drainage issues, and I noticed some wear in furniture that needed attention.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and generally helpful, but I found some aspects lacking, like communication about requests – for example, my request for more toilet paper didn’t go through.
Location
8.0
The hotel is excellently situated right on Nguyen Hue Boulevard, perfect for exploring the city's main attractions. However, the vibrant atmosphere comes with noise, especially at night.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast provided a decent variety, but I felt some quality aspects were lackluster and not reflective of a four-star dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were underwhelming; there weren’t many options, and the gym was quite small. I also found housekeeping wasn’t as attentive as I had hoped.

Staying at the Palace Hotel was quite an experience. The central location near City Hall and many attractions made my sightseeing super convenient, though it did come with some street noise. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast offered a delicious spread of Vietnamese and Western dishes. However, my room was a bit on the small side and had some maintenance issues that could be improved.

Rooms
7.0
I found my room to be clean with a comfy bed, but it was small and slightly outdated. The deep soaking tub was nice, but it might not be the best option for seniors. I also noticed that the toilet had issues with flushing continuously, which was a bit frustrating.
Service
7.0
The staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting me with a smile and eager to help when I needed something. However, there was a bit of a communication hiccup regarding a request for more toilet paper that never got fulfilled.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is truly ideal for exploring Ho Chi Minh City. Being just a short walk from major sights like the opera house and Ben Thanh markets was a significant plus. But, do expect a bit of noise in the front rooms due to the bustling Nguyen Hue Street.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast each morning was nice, with a variety of options including traditional pho. However, one dining experience during New Year’s Eve was disappointing, with poor food quality and service, which left a bad aftertaste compared to my usual experiences in Vietnam.
Facilities
6.0
The rooftop pool looked inviting, but I didn't get a chance to swim. The gym was quite small, but I appreciated having access to it, even if the equipment was limited. Also, it was odd not to find an iron and ironing board available in my room.

5.4/10

During my stay at Palace Hotel Saigon, I appreciated the convenience of its central location, making it easy to explore the vibrant sights of Ho Chi Minh City. However, the facilities were quite disappointing, feeling old and poorly maintained, and the lack of attentive service made my experience less enjoyable. The breakfast options were decent, but the overall state of the hotel left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
My room looked tired and dated, with gloomy lighting and furniture that felt run-down. I noticed baby cockroaches in the toilet, which was a big concern during my stay.
Service
5.0
I found the staff to be unwelcoming and indifferent, with poor communication skills. There were times when I needed assistance, and the responses were lackluster and dismissive.
Location
8.0
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s highlights, conveniently situated near Nguyen Hue walking street and central attractions, making sightseeing very accessible.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a variety of options and was good overall; however, I encountered some language barriers with the staff in the dining area, which made ordering a bit frustrating.
Facilities
5.0
The gym was poorly equipped with only a few machines and lacked basic amenities like water and towels. The pool had an early closing time, which was disappointing.

I had a pleasant six-night stay at Palace Hotel Saigon, primarily thanks to its unbeatable location. Being just a short walk from major sights like the opera house and Ben Thanh Market made exploring so easy. While the room was a bit outdated, the friendly staff and a satisfying breakfast helped balance things out. I will definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Saigon! 😊

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but slightly outdated. Bed springs could be felt, and the shower drain was not functioning properly, leaving standing water during showers.
Service
7.0
Staff were tremendously friendly and welcoming, though my experience with housekeeping could have been better as they didn't respond to my request for extra toilet paper.
Location
10.0
Conveniently located on a famous street, just a five-minute walk from numerous sightseeing spots like Saigon Square and the river, making it a fantastic base for exploring.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was good, offering both Western and Asian choices, though overall, dining could be improved as some dishes felt average.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included room service and laundry, but the gym was small, and many of the machines were broken during my stay, which was disappointing.
